Subject: Saab Oil Change Interval??

I have a 1995 Saab 900i, last service was 55k in December 99. I'm now at 59k and wondering if it's worth getting an oil and filter change? Basically the Oil is clear and it's hardly used any, but I know a lot of people say it's beneficial to change around every 3k - are there any drawbacks to doing this, and are there any Saab quirks which make this a good or bad idea? Also, the service (at a main dealer) used Mobil Super XHP which I believe is a mineral oil - being a little green on technical matters would I notice any benefit moving to a quality semi-synth or even a fully synth? I recall rading that moving straight to a fully-synth can cause problems with valves or seals or something? Thanks in advance for any advice. -- Paul Hutchings ****Remove NoSpam from email**** -- Paul Hutchings
