the wiper motor ussually has a cam which rotates with the spindle, this cam operating the park position switch. The cam has to be in a certain position relative to the crank, such that the crank allways stops in the correct position. It sounds like your crank has slipped on the spindle. It may be possible reposition the crank on the spindle back into the correct position. phil <s2440nopsams.com> wrote in message news:38fd4460.5465748nopsam.erols.com... > after runing my wipers on and off for the past few days of my 1989 > 9000 CD.... today suddenly the off position decided to shift by 90º... > so instead of being horizontal in the "OFF" position they are now > vertical..... the wierd thing is that they still work fine... however > it is quite enoying to have them in my viewing field when it is not > raining! > > Does anyone have an Idea what this could be? maybe the relay? or > something mecanical? > Please help me... > thanks, > Phil
