Subject: Re: 900LPT Turbo problem?

A mentioned before the battery has no effect on the LPT turbo. The only thing I can imagine is that you loosened a air intake hose when you worked on the battery. The LPT has no APC and no charge air cooler but the turbine is also very close to the battery (the only very stupid constrution point in the old 900 - battery heat shield). Have a close look at the air intake pipes and the turbo pipes (but I canīt imagine that itīs the turbo pipe), search for holes there, happens pretty often cause the engine rests are very weak and the engine moves a lot, so the pipes suffer from it. (e.g I had a hole in the air intake pipe, the aluminium hose right behind the front radiator cause a screw worked through it - not easy to find (900 turbo conv.)) Greetings, RCS Martin Cockett: > I have a late '91 900 LPT Aero and have recently noticed a lack of oomph - i.e. > no real turbo surge beween 2500 and 3500 rpm.
