On my '89 9000, which had 110K on it when I bought it, I swiftly had to deal with the following problems. It also was in good condition when I purchased it, or seemed to be. A/C leak. Three out of four wheel bearings. Front brakes, new pads (and new calipers on one wheel?) ABS system problem (one sensor needed replacing). Exhaust manifold(?) replacement (the bit that joins the exhaust "pipe" stuff to the engine -- sorry, I'm not very technically knowledgeable when it comes to cars). I think that most of the "major" components would likely have been handled with the 96K service, but all the things I mention were original components that all seemed to be wearing out at once (over a nine month period). These details may not be 100% accurate (I'm not sure about the calipers, for example, but I'm sure I had to replace more than just the pads on the front brakes), but you get the general idea. -- Viktor Haag Senior Technical Writer, RIM '79 99, '89 9000T, '00 9-3 SE My opinions are my own, only.
