Russell, I would keep looking for a Turbo. I just bought a 96 SE Turbo with 43k for 15.3k. It is absolutely spotless. I was looking for one for about a 8 mo. before I found one I was interested in buying. I live in Columbus, OH which is not a hot bed of SAAB fanatics. I extended my search to Cincinnati and Indianapolis, but found mine here at a small dealer's lot. It is off lease and is a local car. What part of the country do you live in? As for performance mods, I do look around, but am a proponent of the 'drive it as it is' line of thinking. I think you would be amazed with the road holding capabilities. As opposed to looking for a jarring ride, just see what speed can be comfortably maintained on a favorite entrance ramp for example. I think you may find that the Saab se suspension is a reasonable compromise of handling and comfort.
