I hope I'm not stating the obvious but water is a natural product of combustion (hydrocarbons + oxygen = water + carbon dioxide). Usually, when the exhaust system is cool, the water in the exhaust gasses will condense before leaving the exhaust system causing a drip from the end of the tail pipe.
