Brent, I agree with your analysis. I am relaying what the Cincinnati Saab dealer told my brother. That they replaced the shock bush/bearing under warranty only when customers complained. Why the dealer did this or if the service rep was just 'talking', I do not know. There is no listing under the NHTSA database on 1994 Saab 900 for this problem. The dealer replaced the RF one on my brother's car before he took delivery last month because he was complaining of 'wandering' and 'clunking', but did not replace the LF. Their comment was that it was not 'as bad' as the RF and therefore did not need replacing. It is just amazing to me that the car comes with a strut tower brace as standard, but there is greater than 1/8" radial displacement of the strut shaft and this was 'not bad enough'! I assume that others have had this similar problem as the car has not been wrecked and does not look abused otherwise. Keith Grider > > >The best bet would be to replace them with a > > later style.
