There are 4 long screws that keep the dashboard in position. 1) remove the radio and all switches (mark the connectors or remember them..) 2) remove the ash tray of the center console 3) unscrew the bolt of the center console and pull it a little backward 4) unplug the air distributor form the ventilation switch (through the radio slot) there's a clip ring... 5) unscrew the 4 dash screws, be careful not to damage something and don't mix them up they all have a different length. installation is backward..., be sure to put the screws through the guiding dashboard pipes when inserting them and there should be no force acting on the dash (cables, connectors...) The rod of the heat regulating switch can be reinstalled working through the radio slot and through the left loudspeaker grill on top of the dash, be sure that the rod is in right position and operating fine before screwing the dash. It's not necessary to remove the steering wheel but at the Saab garage they remove it cause it's more comfortable for working, but my 900tconv got a driver airbag and I can't reset/check the control box. No, it's not hard it normally takes an hour to remove/install it.
