I have a 99 9-5 with about 12,000 miles on it. No major problems so far, I like the car. I have used regular oil all the time, I know of no requirement to use synthetic. The ACC controller will probably need to be changed if it hasn't already, they had a problem where they were resetting too often. I just got a recall notice in the mail about something in the emissions system, but it looks like a minor fix. It's a comfortable, roomy sedan.
