Subject: '86 900 window question

Hi everyone, I was wondering if maybe some of you had any ideas for this problem. I have a 1986 900 SPG and the power window on the passenger door will not work. I had taken apart the door because i needed to fix the handle on the inside (it was broken by the wrecker guys when the car got towed awhile back), and when I put the door panel back on, the window wouldn't work. I checked the window control switch by swapping it with the driver's side, and that works fine. When I push the switch down or up, the motor doesn't make any sounds at all so I assumed there was a connection problem. But when I checked the wires on the motor they seemed fine. I've looked at everything I could think of but can't make any progress and am thinking I have to turn it over to a mechanic. Any ideas or experience with this before? I just can't believe it just stopped working (it was fine as I was fixing the handle), could I have shorted something out? Thanks for any help. Brady Wolfe
