Subject: Re: Loss of brake peddle

Hi, I had the same problem with my 1983 900 about 4 years ago. I didn't wait to see if the problem was better in cooler weather though ;-) I got hold of a renovation kit for the brake master cylinder the same day. It consists of some new piston seals and other goodies. Redid the master cyl piston, bled the system, and everything was fine afterwards. If you've done hydraulic system jobs earlier, then you should be able to renew the master then bleed the air (and old fluid) out in about 2 hours, working at a leisurely pace. If you're not used to this kind of work, you'll find it messy - and in that case, be sure to have an experienced person check your work ('cause if you get it wrong, the only thing you have left is your handbrake . . . ) Regards, Robert Gothenburg (1983 900 GL, 1999 9-3 200) Don Martorelli wrote: > I have a '87 900T convert.
