Hi, Another idea, in case bleeding doesn't help, is to see if the return spring inside the clutch master cylinder (bolted to the firewall) is broken. The purpose of the spring is to force the piston in the master cylinder aft, when the pedal is released. This has the effect of putting more fluid in the line between the piston and the clutch slave cylinder piston (located at the front of the gearbox). With sufficient fluid in the system, the pedal will be higher off the floor when the clutch grabs. In this way the clutch pedal travel is supposed to be self-adjusting and consequently has no "user-accessible" adjustment controls. In case you're new to this area of Saabs you'll also find that the clutch master cyl is fed from the brake fluid resevoir . . . Hope this helps, but you're welcome to email if you need to know more or want a diagram from a book emailed over (remove NOSPAM from address).
