Plastic radiator spigots break off all the time. Your dealer did not have to tell you it was broken, they simply could have slid the clamp up the hose and let you go. You'd find out on your own it was no good. If they had broken it, they would have done this. A new radiator is pretty fair. For the automatic, it lists for $530, the manual lists at $380.
