Your problem is probably a bad heater valve, that isn't shutting off the flow of hot coolant to your heater core. If you turn off your A/C with your heater control in the cold position, does your fan still blow extremely hot air? If so, that's the problem. Even if the fan is off you will still feel radiant heat in the front floor board area. This valve is fairly easy to replace, although awkward to get to. The valve should cost about $60.
