I have a 91 9000, I would recommend that you have the cv axle replaced. It will cost about $200.00. Unless you caught] it right after the boot tore, there is a good chance that dirt and grime has gotten into the axle. It is only a mater of time before it fails. Better to replace it now, than have the car break down at an inconvenient time.
