He will be able to install a rebuilt and tested Saab tranny that will have a 1 yr./unlimited mileage warranty. The tranny will run you about 13-1500 dollars, labor will depend on what else you decide to have done while this major installation is being done: i.e. harmonic balancer, P/S rack/pump (if yours is going), engine seals, etc. Many things can be done more easily and inexpensively at this time. Big decision, good luck!
