Thanks Tim I recently got the transmission in my 900S (1990, 135K) rebuilt by a local (non-dealer) Saab mechanic. It runs about the way it did 40K ago, which is pretty decent but not phenomenal. It cost about $1700 versus the dealer's price of $3300+. Leigh
