If the engine has been well maintained, you should have no problems changing. If it is leaking now, or is badly sludge, synthetic won't fix the leaks. Nor will synthetic cause leaks. My 88 9000T was changed to AMSOIL by the dealer before I bought it with 87K on it. No leaks yet--about 110K. >Also, is it worth the extra >cost... really?
