Essentially, because of the way the engine is designed, you can run the car on most grades of gasoine available in North America (87 through 94). However, the engine is built to run most efficiently with a particular grade of fuel. On my 9-3 (at least) the optimum fuel is listed in the owner's manual, and on the inside of the gas-cap door (92 rating). I believe that this rating holds true for all the high-output turbo engine configurations that Saab sells (i.e. 9-3 SE, 9-3 Viggen, and 9-5 Aero) into North America. However, I don't know what is most efficient for the 9-5 V6. -- Viktor Haag Senior Technical Writer, RIM '79 99, '89 9000T, '00 9-3 SE My opinions are my own, only. tc++ ru ge(+) !3i c jt- au(-) pi+ he(+)
