Hi Brad, If you were having problems with the slave seals, I'd expect that you'd see a gradual loss of fluid at the fluid resevoir (and a little pool on the ground). FatHoss' theory about the return spring sounds like a winner, but then you say that very little foot pressure is required to put the pedal all the way to the floor. That may indicate that you have a seal problem as well. Let's assume that you've already checked all along the hydraulics for leaks, and that none of the master cyl seals have been fitted back-to-front. A very wild guess is that the return spring has broken in one or more places. A fragment of it may have lodged between a seal and the cylinder wall. This means that fluid would rush by when you press the pedal down. The extra friction would prevent the piston (and pedal) from returning properly. A disintegrating seal may be able to cause the same symptoms too. At any rate I'd put my money on the master cylinder - both seals and return spring. Tell us what it really turned out to be when you've fixed it.
