NaturePaul, It is probably that the mirror pivot (behind the glass) has become detatched either from the glass or the base. I have not disassembled one of these, but that is what will have to be done to determine the cause and possible repair. Otherwise you could replace it with a used one from a junk yard which is not loose. If you wiggle the glass by hand you will see that the bad one is looser than the good one.
