Subject: Re: '93 9000 "New to me" CSE-What can I expect?

I have an 87 9000S 5 spd. This is my third Saab. I had an 83 900T I bought new and picked up at the factory in May 83. It had over 251,000 miles and 13 years on it, when it was totalled in an accident. I replaced it with an 87 900S 5spd. It was totalled in an accident after two years.. The most important thing you can do is stay on top of your preventative maintenance. If you have an auto trans, make sure you flush the trans fluid and change the filter every 30,000 miles or two years. Get your hands on a Haynes Manual for the 9000. You can order directly from Haynes or www.hdrogers.com has them for $24.50 plus shipping. You don't say what area you live in, but if your tap water had a high mineral content, use distilled water with your antifreeze mix. If you have any questions feel free to email me.
