Craig, Keith, I have the same problem as Craig, i.e. the motor sometimes stops and makes creaky noises. I've been to my official Saab repair shop and they said it'll cost something like DM1,700.- (which is about USD 900.-). They'd be willing to put in a used motor if I found one. They also said, that it's impossible to repair the motor because it's a problem of gear-wheels (?). So if anyone has a motor in Western Europe, please contact me. Best regards, chris (chris.lohrnopsamaspam.com) (To answer remove the words no spam in address) Craig: > > I am in need of a convertible top motor for my 1996 SAAB 900 SE > convertible. > > I looked at getting a new one but they cost too much ($1100-$1200). keith: It may be that just the brushes are bad and > need to be replaced.
