The nozzles are an ingenious design (allowing free draining when not under pressure (to avoid freezing of static water), but are sealed when used. Unfortunately they do block easily. It's more than just a problem with the pin-hole, they contain a membrane which flexes under the water pressure. The best is to replace them periodically.
