Chris, The characteristic of the 'rock hard' brakes is why I got a classic again. When Saab put the 9000 brakes on the 900, the improvement was tremendous. You will find that the brakes are great. The hard pedal with little movement is very easy to modulate and is very close to what real (racing) brakes feel like. Little movement of the pedal and instant stopping power. I would get the oil leaks fixed before you buy it. If it is a front or rear main seal, they are not TOO tough to replace. If it is the engine/transmission interface gasket (pan), it is expensive and time consuming. The guy is a mechanic...
