In response to the last few postings....I have a 1989 9000 CD turbo...I used to own a 1985 Saab 900 turbo...I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad (can you guess) heater valve. To replace this valve, I was on my back for hours. I think I had to remove a great deal of the dash board. If I remember correctly there were a lot of hours to replace this valve. It was a pain..... In replacing a heater core in a 9000 is it as laborious of a task??
