Starting > with 94 9-3 GM showed its ugly face. Much has been said of this, and far be it from me to naysay the purist. However, my '00 9-3 is a VERY NICE CAR indeed to drive. Every bit as nice in its own way as the old 99 I once owned. What the 99 had in sheer solid toughness, the 9-3 makes up for in oomph and nimbleness. And I still feel far safer in the 9-3 than I did in any of the Japanese imports I've driven. There's nothing like that solid *thump* when you close a door. As for the fit and finish of the interior components, and the body design, I like the 9-3 better than the 99 (although I do miss the flip-forward bonnet, truth to tell (although I can imagine it must have caused nightmarish problems in servicing). So far, anyway. -- Viktor Haag Senior Technical Writer, RIM '79 99, '89 9000T, '00 9-3 SE My opinions are my own, only. tc++ ru ge(+) !3i c jt- au(-) pi+ he(+)
