At 110 000 miles I would hope that I wouldn't need to have my rings done. I think I'm going with Mr. Washington's prescription of Berryman Gas Treatment and Injector Cleaner. It's odd that the afterrunning doesn't happen when I turn the ignition off but only to a point just before the *Run* position. Or so it seems. If I must have a compression test, should it be done at a dealer? Here in Winnipeg there is just one, and they deal primarily in Saturns and Izuzus, and not often with classic 900s. How can I keep them from saying, "Yessir, you'll need a thousand-dollar ring job..." if I don't?
