I have 9000 T16 with 370 000 km. I know exactly what noise you are talking about. There is nothing to do, those engines have hydraulic valve-lifters which compensate for worn components. After so many km's , cams are pretty worn and it takes some time for oil-pressure to build up and components to warm up to fill the gaps. If you really want to fix it you will need to change cams and lifters, probably not worth it as there is nothing dangerous about that. It will get progressivly worse until you reach approx. 500 000 km , but by then you will have bunch of other things failing (if you didn't junk the car by then, that is). Cheers.
