Because of metal fatigue, maybe you don't want to drive your Saab past 500,000 mi. And any car can make it to 250k if you keep putting engines and trannys into them. What is nice about Saabs is that you could get to 250k mi. without any engine work. Evidently the body and suspension parts are very strong as well and if you keep the drain holes free and maintain the paint you should have no problem making it to 250k. Keep in mind that you can even drive a Saab into the ground in 10k with really bad maintainence habits.
