Subject: 1992 900 S AC/Idle Problem




The AC on my '92 900 s will intermittently stop working (clutch won't
engage).  At this point, the car will idle very rough.  If I turn it off
and then restart it, the problem goes away (AC works fine, idle is
smooth).

This usually happens a few times in the morning and then it's fine for
the rest of the day.  If I drive for 200+ miles, it may happen once or
twice.  I just restart it to get the AC working again.

Any thoughts?  I've tried switching the AC fan and compressor relays,
but the problem still occurs.
