Big pain otherwise The first '86 9000turbo I bought used was from a Pontia dealer. I was not given a radio code. When the Radio started beeping and I looked in the book, i found out about needing the code. When I went to the local SAAB dealer, they asked me to bring the radio in (out of the car), they also needed my owners card for the car, and my drivers license for proof of who i was and ownership of the car. They did their thing and came back with the radio code for me. When i bought my current '93 9000 CSE used from a Saab dealer, they forgot to give me the code when I picked up the car. When I went back, they asked me to bring the radio in (they had the car vin number already and knew I purchased the car from them so they did not ask for proof of ownership.) The guy then went into an office and picked up a phone. He then came back with the code written down. I have been using this code I have used for the past 3 years. It worked fine except having to occasionally having to put it in wrong once before putting in correctly for it to be recognised.
