Subject: '93 9000CSE Radio Code problem

Hi, I have a 1993 Saab 9000 CSE that I purchased used. It has an in dash AM/FM cassette stereo as well as it having a combo cd/equalizer unit. In the past, the radio has asked for the CODE and I typed in what the dealer gave me. Sometimes I would have to put it in wrong once before the radio accepted it the right way. (i.e. if the radio code was 1234, I sometimes would have to key in 1243 then press the band button and key in 1234 to make it work.) At the moment, the radio is now asking for the code and when I type in the correct code, the radio displays it, then says CODE again as if I never typed anything in. If I type in the wrong code, I get the beeping and have to wait an hour of radio on time before my next attempt. After the hour wait, I press the BAND key and key in the correct code. The radio displays it as I key it in, but as soon as I type the last digit, it goes back to showing CODE. I have typeed the correct code in as many as 30 times in this cycle with it still not working. If i then key in the wrong code, I have to wait another hour. Any way around this to get the radio to work? If not, I there is still a CD in the player. What is the best way to get it out? Thanks, Mike.
