Just to add a little to what Robert wrote, the comparator circuit is extremely (some say "overly") sensitive and frequently, if all the rest has been taken care of (e.g., cleaning the connections and making sure of good grounds), the problem may just be that the bulbs being compared have aged differently enough to trip the comparator. That was, happily for me, the case with my 9000. Simply buying a bunch of new bulbs for the rear lamps and replacing all of them at once made it work again. Make sure to get the ones that are intended for those holders (just look them up in the parts store lamp application catalog) .. some others will fit, but not quite well enough. -- Ken Bell :: kenbellnopsamx.com :: (212) 475-4976 (voice)
