Subject: Re: 99 9-3 heater control knob story

It wasn't the cables it's the grease on the flap and distribution drum drying up. We all try to do the perfect job it happens sometime when components are a tight fit. If they are willing to repar it give them a second chance. Saab\GM are trying to do what they can to ease the time of the repair. The fix is a time consuming and delicate repair. Please be patient. sundancenopsamalias.net wrote: > Just thought I'd write a little piece relating my recent experience, > really the first main bad experience since I've owned the car for over > a year now. > > The heater and temp selector knobs broke off since the cables got too > stiff from bad lubrication in addition to the drying hot summer air. > I brought it to the dealer and was told that Saab wants them to try > and free up the stiff cables.
