'87 is good, you get the new front end , also 88 is pretty good too, 9000 calipers and rear acting hand-brake. I mean, the 900 didn't change that much in it's 13 year history, so most things are usable on the newer car's and vice-versa. Steering racks, brakes (upto '87), cooling system, electrical items. Many 900 bits will also fit 99's too.
