The 9000 Haynes Manual I have specifies GM or GM compatible power steering fluid. The manual covers 1985 to 1995 model years because the 9000 came out in Europe in 1985. Youi might want to pick up a manual for yourself. They are printed for the UK market, and sold in the States too. My owners manual for my 87 9000S specifies GM or GM compatible also.
