In the UK a few buses and lorries have been running on vegetable oils for years: rape seed oil for public buses in towns such as Reading; and recently there was news of a successful project to refine used, dirty, vegetable oils (from the firm of Sharwoods, famous for Indian foods) into fuel (with three of Shardwoods' own lorries running on the result). -- Andrew Stephenson
