1. Just an irritation..... 2. Its very easy to install. It takes a total of 10 minutes. This is the way I did it.... All I had on me was a jackknife..I took the long blade out and put in the top crevice and pryed the thing out. Its not held in by any screws just clips. The wiring harness came out w/ a click. I'm not sure if it will die. Like I said in my previous post, I have a 96 900SE and the SID was fading at around 55K miles. I was too cheap to pay for a new one (and a used one) because it functions. I now have 116K miles on it and its still faded in the same pixel area. No more.no less. It works. But after seeing the post that you can buy one for 80 bucks I will probably replace it.
