I have been lurking for some time and have read the archives concerning the exact same problem, but while many have suffered there seem to have been few solutions. Mine turned out to be a faulty alarm and secondary immobilizer and the problem got progressively worse. When it was removed it was discovered that it had been wired to the fuel pump relay incorrectly. Things I would check are the alarm, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, battery and alternator, DI pack.
