Some of it might have to do with the international origin of SAAB. Someone from Europe help me out here- isn't it illegal to drive around with just the parking lights on? They are designed to be left on while the car is parked, and the key out of the ignition. Try putting the switch in the middle position sometime and turning the car off. That is the intended purpose of parking lights. In the US we have other uses, and a lot of special cases, such as military bases. When I lived in Spain, no one had ever heard of DRL's and so many people flashed their lights at me, I pulled the fuse within two days of delivery. Once back in states I put it back in.
