However, opening of doors is not very demanding for the battery, so even a bad battery should be able to activate the doors. This is my experience anyway. But Better replace the battery if you think this could be a problem. Some years ago I bought a new FIAT with electrical doors and petrol flap. After a couple of days I drove into a petrol station as the tank was almost empty. To my horror, the button operated petrol flap did not open. A very "helpful" petrol attendant came up to me with a crowbar and wanted to assist me! I kindly declined his offer and drove the car ever so gently to my house. The problem was just a fuse. Johannes
