To file a claim under "rust perforation" is hard since the rust has to start from the inside out not outside in. You will have to contact your dealer and have the Saab rep take a look at it and give you a special dispensation for your flaking paint. A special dispensation means that a rep offers a "goodwill" warranty for special circumstances (like bad workmanship) for items that are not generally covered under warranty to keep you loyal to the brand. Just be really nice to your service rep and the factory rep - it will go a long way. Other than the paint - how do you like your Viggen? I'm test driving a 2000 leftover (totally new) on Friday and was just curious. The price they are asking for it is really too hard to pass up. The ZR tires are a concern however since the car will be my primary and in Missouri it is known to snow a bit. Other than that any other problems other than the paint? > <picking through warranty> > > I would contend that this falls under "Perforation warranty for 6 years, > unlimited mileage". > > Thoughts on this contention? > > > > "Bob" <uctraingnopsamanet.com> wrote in message > news:g3i1ct8b992actbt3mg2lopo2u9pk7anc5nopsamcom... >> On Mon, 26 Mar 2001 21:06:33 -0600, Scott Timinski >> <stiminsnopsamll.net> wrote: >> >>> Having paint problems fixed after 12 months of ownership is sort of a > pain - >> >> Reread your warranty.
