I didn't know that the cell phone was free for the 1st year also. It is tough not knowing what OnStar offers. I want to try out all of their features for the first year to help me make a decision whether or not I will keep the service. I did use it the other night when I was out of cash and needed an ATM. OnStar told me where the closest ATM was... GREAT! Keep me posted on NEW OnStar ideas.
