Hello all, I purchased a 1989 900S over the internet and received it last night. I checked all the fluids and the Transmission fluid needed 1 quart to top off. When I took it for a drive, I noticed that upon acceleration, the tranny would come out of gear, causing the RPM of the engine to rev up. But when driving normal, it would be fine. It also seemed that the transmission was noisy (in park the engine was fine, upon accelleration it was noisy). On my drive back from the gas station the transmission gave out, or so it seemed. The tranny would not go into gear any more, so I had to have it towed home. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is this a govenor problem? Is this a linkage problem? How serious is this? -Kyle themoz(att)wi.rr.com
