I'm on my second replacement (third pump) in my '95 900S. The first was done by the dealer for free, I just replaced the second one a couple months ago (~110,000 miles). I'm not sure how it should be done, but I pulled the wheelwell arch cover and had reasonably good access. Got my 'after market' pump from a private shop here in Denver for a little less than the dealer charges. They had a couple, the first one I looked at had something scratched off the plastic. Looked at another and it was the GM trademark that had been removed! Mine cost about $45, I think the dealer was asking around $60. You might find a generic GM part at an auto mass marketer for less that could either be identical or made to work. Personally I'd be 95% sure its the pump, my guess is that they are trouble prone. Good Luck!
