My thanks to both of you. This really helps me get off the ground. I have now have my short-list: Yakima & Rhode Gear. The most expensive Yakima seems to list for about US$125. The Rhode Gear seems to be somewhat less expensive. I am less interested in price than I am in quality & safety. I want to protect both my car and my bike. A $20-$30 price difference is less important than these considerations. If you have any thoughts on the relative quality of the Yakima and Rhode Gear, I would welcome them. Again, thanks for your help. Burt Four Weis <mweinopsamcom> wrote in <3ADA74D9.ED362A76nopsamcom>: >He is not interested in a roof rack.
