1) replace all the vacuum hoses (engine related) with silicone 3.5mm stuff. (hosetechniques.com, saabsavior.com). Replace 3 intake grommets and 1 PVC grommet (cheap from dealer or saabsavior, etc). Clean AIC with carb cleaner (remove from engine, spray, wackle it back and forth, repeat until clean, replace to engine). make sure that the hooter holds vacuum (suck on line or mityvac), make sure that the one way valve will not allow pressurization of crankcase. Check operation of vapor canister solenoid valve (usually not a problem). 2) relay - remove lower dash panel. Remove bellows in front of cubby, remove eq and basket from cubby, remove cubby, remove ash tray, remove 6mm bolt in back of ashtray basket (10mm head), remove 8mm bolt (13mm head) behind the basket. remove 6mm bolts (10 mm head) fron the outside in teh door jamb (open hood, look with flashlight and see 2 small hex bolt heads...).slide/rotate dash pad out. replace relay, replace dashpad. pain to remove dash pad! good luck, KeithG "Adam Fay" <VWAdamnopsamlepc.com> wrote in message news:3af2d1ef$1nopsamnet239.uunt.net... > I have an '88 900 turbo.
