Just sold a 1985 pymouth carravelle, V8 rear wheel drive, bought 6 years ago for $900, drove the crap out of the whole time, changed only "normal wear and rear" items like tires, battery ETC and it now has 355,000 kilometers on it and is still utterly reliable...I love my 1987 9kt, but it has cost me easily 5 times the money to keep on the road in the last 6 years (had it since new). I know it's like comparing apples to oranges ( my saab has a smaller engine that nonetheless makes more power than the V8 while returning double the fuel ecomy) but that 318 chrysler will never die. Never touched the tranny, either. Each to his own, I solve the debate by driving both!
