So, you have to multiply the base amount by the rate for 1988, add that amount to the base, multiply by the rate for 1989, add that amount to the adjusted base, multiply that by the rate for 1990, add that to the adjusted base, etc. You can do it in a spreadsheet fairly easily. You'll need to find the inflation rates - most governments print a report of rates over the past 20 or so years. Bob
